Visitor centre and site interpretation, designed by us at S&N, working with friends at Parc Signs who worked on build elements. The new visitor centre for The Donkey Sanctuary, creating a welcoming and engaging environment that introduces visitors to the charity’s global work in donkey welfare, rescue, and conservation.
The centre combines immersive interpretation, interactive displays, bespoke graphics, and natural materials to reflect the organisation’s compassionate ethos and strong connection to the rural landscape. Carefully planned exhibition spaces guide visitors through the history of the sanctuary, the stories of rescued donkeys, and the wider importance of animal welfare and community outreach programmes. The design balances education, accessibility, and visitor comfort, delivering an inspiring and family-friendly experience that supports the sanctuary’s mission and enhances visitor engagement.
