We designed, produced, and installed the new galleries for Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon, creating a refreshed and engaging visitor experience that celebrates the rich social, industrial, and cultural history of North Devon.
As part of the project, we also developed the interpretation plan, shaping the overall narrative structure and visitor journey throughout the museum. The galleries combine historic artefacts, immersive displays, interpretive graphics, audiovisual media, and interactive elements to explore themes including local industries, maritime heritage, community life, and the natural environment of the region. The design balanced contemporary exhibition techniques with the character of the historic museum building, delivering accessible and visually engaging spaces that connect local stories with a wide range of audiences.
