We designed and installed the gallery refurbishment for the Mayflower Museum, creating a refreshed and engaging visitor experience that explores Plymouth’s connection to the Mayflower voyage and the transatlantic journey of 1620.
The project combined new interpretive graphics, immersive displays, artefacts, audiovisual media, and interactive elements to tell the story of the passengers, crew, and wider historical context surrounding the sailing of the Mayflower. Inspired by Plymouth’s maritime heritage, the gallery design incorporated atmospheric materials, lighting, and scenic detailing to evoke the experience of seventeenth-century seafaring and exploration. The refurbishment transformed the museum space into a dynamic and educational environment that connects local history with the international legacy of the Mayflower story.
