We designed and installed the visitor centre / venue at Murdoch House, creating an engaging interpretive space celebrating the life and achievements of pioneering engineer and inventor
William Murdoch.
William Murdoch.
The exhibition combined interactive displays, historic artefacts, interpretive graphics, and audiovisual media to explore Murdoch’s groundbreaking work in steam engineering, gas lighting, and industrial innovation during the Industrial Revolution. Inspired by the character of the historic building and Cornwall’s engineering heritage, the design integrated atmospheric materials, period detailing, and immersive storytelling to bring Murdoch’s inventions and influence to life. The visitor centre provides an educational and accessible experience that connects local history with the wider story of British industrial and scientific advancement.
