We designed, printed, built and installed all aspects the gallery.
We designed and built a Clash of Empires Gallery at the Wardrobe, detailing the histories and stories of the 42nd, 62nd, 66th and 99th infantry regiments of foot. Exploring the expansion of the British Empire through the experiences of frontline soldiers serving across Africa, India, and the wider colonies during the nineteenth century. The gallery combined original artefacts, campaign medals, period uniforms, regimental colours, maps, and personal accounts to illustrate the daily lives, hardships, and military campaigns of the regiments.
Richly detailed set designs and interpretive displays allow visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the era. Particular emphasis was placed on the traditions and identities of individual regiments of foot, highlighting their recruitment histories, battle honours, and evolving role within the British Army during the height of imperial expansion. The gallery created a historically engaging and visually striking experience that balanced military history with the wider social and political context of the Victorian Empire.
